Bear Cub Comedy Camp

A one-of-a-kind summer camp where kids learn to be funny, fearless, creative, and unapologetically themselves.
Bear Cub Comedy Camp is a week-long comedy experience designed for kids ages 9–13 who love to make people laugh—or who simply want to feel more confident speaking, performing, and being themselves.
Led by comedian and educator Sam Bear, with over a decade of experience in leadership, workshops, and comedy. Campers will explore stand-up comedy, improv, storytelling, character work, performance, and public speaking in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
Campers will also get to perform at the end of the week with a Real Headliner from Hollywood! Throughout the week campers will also receive structured feedback and supervision from trained Camp Counselors to ensure all campers receive attention and support.
You don't have to be the funniest kid in the room to belong at comedy camp. You just have to be willing to play.
What to Expect?
🎤 Stand-Up Comedy — Learn joke structure, timing, storytelling, and how to turn everyday experiences into material.
🎭 Improv & Character Work — Think quickly, collaborate, embrace spontaneity, and get comfortable making mistakes.
✍️ Field Trips — Campers will get the opportunity to take a behind the scenes tour of the Granada Theatre, then enjoy an afternoon at the beach.
🗣️ Public Speaking — Build confidence speaking in front of a group, practice projection, body language, and connecting with an audience.
😂 Comedy Games — Low-pressure games designed to get campers thinking creatively and laughing together.
💡 Headshots & Certificate of Funny — Each camper will receive a headshot as well as a certificate of “funnification” to forever establish them as a funny kid!
🌟 End-of-Camp Showcase — Campers have the opportunity to share what they've created with an audience in a supportive celebration of their week.
